Our Story

We are Ray and Mac, business partners, real estate entrepreneurs, and the co founders of Doc Ride, CLT NEMT Services.

We have spent the last eight years in real estate sales and management, and for the past five years we have worked side by side as business partners. Real estate taught us how to serve people, how to anticipate needs, deliver reliable service, and build strong relationships. But it was a personal family experience that inspired us to take what we learned and apply it to something even more meaningful.

Not long ago, Mac’s family found themselves in a difficult situation. A loved one could no longer drive safely, yet she had several recurring medical appointments each month that were critical to her health and wellbeing. The responsibility of coordinating transportation began falling on family members, often requiring them to adjust work schedules or take time off. Rideshare options felt too unpredictable and impersonal, and what they really needed was a service that was more hands on, more thoughtful, and consistently dependable.

That experience showed us a real gap in the community. We realized that if Mac’s family was facing this challenge, many others were likely struggling with the same issue. With our background in building service focused businesses, we knew we could step in and make a difference.

We launched this NEMT company with a simple goal: to treat every client like family. We are committed to providing safe, reliable, and compassionate transportation with a focus on comfort and consistency because getting to and from medical appointments should never be a source of stress.

We are dedicated to building the best non emergency medical transportation service possible and to serving Charlotte with care, purpose, and heart.
