Our Story
We’re Ray and Mac—business partners, real estate entrepreneurs, and the co-founders of Doc Ride—CLT NEMT Services.
We’ve spent the last seven years in real estate sales and management, and for the past five, we’ve worked side by side as business partners. Real estate taught us how to serve people—how to anticipate needs, deliver reliable service, and build relationships. But it was a personal family experience that inspired us to take what we’ve learned and apply it to something even more impactful.
Not long ago, Mac’s family found themselves in a difficult spot. A loved one had reached the point where driving was no longer safe, yet she had several recurring medical appointments each month that were essential to her health and well-being. The responsibility of coordinating transportation began to fall on family members—often requiring them to rearrange work schedules or take time off. Rideshare options felt too unpredictable and impersonal, and what they really wanted was a service that felt more hands-on, more thoughtful, and above all—more consistent.
That experience opened our eyes to a real gap in the community. We realized that if Mac’s family was facing this challenge, countless others probably were too. And with our background in building service-based businesses, we knew we could step in to help fill that gap.
We launched this NEMT company with a simple goal: to treat every client like family. We’re committed to providing safe, reliable, and compassionate transportation, with a focus on comfort and consistency—because getting to and from medical appointments shouldn’t be a source of stress.
We’re fully dedicated to building the best non-emergency medical transportation service we can—serving Charlotte with care, purpose, and heart.
