The drive

Two routes cover most of what Denver riders need. NC-73 goes around the southern end of Lake Norman to Huntersville, about eighteen miles and roughly twenty-six minutes when the road is clear. NC-16 South runs into Charlotte, about twenty-six miles and roughly thirty-seven minutes, close to twice the Huntersville run. Lincolnton, for the hospital and cancer treatment, is the third direction, west rather than toward the city.

None of those are short. We schedule backward from your appointment time rather than forward from a mileage figure, and we build in the extra minutes the lake costs instead of shaving them off and hoping.

Can you come straight across the lake from Huntersville?

No, and nobody can. There is no bridge between Denver and the Huntersville or Cornelius shore, so the route goes around the water on NC-73, roughly eighteen miles. Anyone who quotes you a Denver ride as though the lake were not there has not driven it.

Is there a hospital in Denver?
